Evaluating Adult Learning

With any seminar of this kind, the easiest way to evaluate immediate learning is by having teachers actually demonstrate using technology. That being said, how much they will be able to master technology as a result of one seminar is the key. Show off too many resources and they won't be able to remember more than one. There is the option to provide a list of applications, but a comprehensive list would be much more manageable on my Canvas page and/or school webpage. The objective of a lesson like this, especially when coming into a school where there may have never been an ITC, is to introduce teachers to technology and familiarize them with some creative options out there. Depending on the size of the session, I would like to be able to get a feel for where everyone is at with this session to get a baseline. The other part of that equation will be the short Microsoft Form to see what teachers would like me to include or go into depth with. From there, much of the evaluation of adult learning will be from the engagement I get afterwards. Whether teachers are asking for help or talk to me about functionalities of software I introduced, there will undoubtedly be an opportunity for me to seek teachers out who may have struggled or be struggling with utilizing the technology.
